Photography. My interest in photography started at school where I was fortunate enough to study independently with my school’s photography teacher. Always a student of the arts, it was then that I decided to narrow my focus (pun intended): learning the rudiments of photography, developing a sense of composition and perspective, and, most importantly, discovering and training my “eye.”

Children. In 2002, I moved to Cambridge, MA. My parents, both former Cantabrigians, were founding members of the Cambridgeport Children’s Center, Tot Lot. It was through my experience as a staff member at Tot Lot that I developed a condition that would be later diagnosed by close friends as “TBM”: Total Baby Madness.
I have always loved children and working with them. In one form or another, I have spent the last ten years working with kids, all the while continuing my pursuit as a professional photographer. It was my family that finally made clear this unrealized duality, suggesting I marry my two passions of photography and children. True to the principles of synthesis and true, as well, to the principles of following good advice, Picture Your Kids as Art, was born.
