Red Alert! - Los Angeles Child Photographer - Kazia Cumbler

This was such a fun afternoon with one of the world’s handsomest redheads.  Henry is as charming as he is dashing, and I loved getting the chance to photograph this super fun family.  These guys live in an awesome home with a backyard that was perfect for the setting of our photos.  Thanks Stacey and Dan!!

Beachy Keen - Los Angeles Child Photographer - Kazia Cumbler

These are some of my favorite people.  This little guy Mack I have known since he was born, and he has been a little stud his whole little life.  He is at such a great age for a photoshoot because he is still totally impressed with dad’s silly faces and mom’s big smiles. All of that works great for getting the little guy to give terrific smiles.  And of course any time we go to the beach–cloudy or not–I’m happy.

The Good Life - Los Angeles Child Photographer - Kazia Cumbler

This was a fun day with some of my favorite clients.  I’ve been shooting Evan since he was just a little guy, so it is so fun to watch this great family grow up and expand- hellooooo baby Bella (who’s hardly a baby anymore!)  These guys always have such a great spirit, which makes our shoots so loose and fun.

Sister Act - Los Angeles Child Photographer - Kazia Cumbler

Now are these girls not such beauties?   I’ve had the pleasure of shooting these gals since Ava was wee, and now she’s a full fledged girl with long hair and just the cutest little personality.  Sydney is also a total doll; easy to smile and friendly and playful disposition.  I love shooting these guys, the whole family is so sweet and nice.

Lookers - Los Angeles Child Photographer - Kazia Cumbler

No, this is not a J.Crew ad.  These are my clients, but the whole family could be models. These guys are so great and sweet.  They know just what to say to get the little ones to smile genuine smiles.  Some times all it takes is calling your daughter by her nickname, or telling her how much you love her- I saw Baden just melt as her mom did this…And I got it all on camera, and of course those were the best shots!

Keeping It Cool - Los Angeles Child Photographer - Kazia Cumbler

In the summer I’m lucky enough to go to the beautiful East Coast shores of Cape Cod for three whole weeks.  While I am there mostly to visit with family and friends I also use the time as an opportunity to schedule a few beach side sittings.

Here are a couple shots of some of my favorite (and cutest) New England customers enjoying the bayside.

Talkin’ ‘Bout Myyyy Girl - Los Angeles Child Photographer - Kazia Cumbler

This is what I’ve been working on lately — this one I made from scratch.  Rae Emerson Low was born on May 21st, 2009, weighing in at a sturdy 7lbs.  She’s cute, sweet and loud…lucky I’ve been doing infant sittings long enough to recognize these as the signs of being a brand new baby.  It’s so fun to be taking photos of a baby that’s actually my own!

We’re just getting situated in our new lives as parents, and she’s getting situated in her new role being outside the oven, and    I think we’re all adjusting nicely (I say now as she sleeps — ask me in 15 minutes when she’s crying…)

Big Mack — Los Angeles Child Photographer — Kazia Cumbler

This was a fun afternoon in Santa Monica, at the home of my most handsome little friend, Mack.  At just 5 months, he is about as juicy and delicious as they come and I was sooo happy he was willing to show off his chub.   His little parts–ears, feet, hands–are going to change and grow so fast…I wanted to document them as is, so his mom and dad can look back and remember when he was once so small.

A Day at the Beach — Los Angeles Child Photographer — Kazia Cumbler

Today was one of those perfectly pleasant Southern California days: blue skies, a light breeze, the temperature is about–ohhh–I’d say SPF 15 or so…and all this is great news b/c I headed down to the beach for a shoot with a certain little red head.  Here are a couple of images from the shoot–this little guy is about to turn two, and what a perfect way to document this very important occasion.
